In the 1990's, Robert Nelson Hodder wrote articles for our inter-company newsletter. These items were based on his memories of growing up in the tugboat business. Events from his early days on the river and stories told to him by his father and uncle, founders of Hodder Bros. Towing (which eventually became Hodder Tugboat Co. Ltd.).

About the Author;

Robert Nelson Hodder (Bob Hodder Sr.) was born in 1931. He grew up in the tugboat industry, and was the President and Owner of Hodder Tugboat Co. Ltd. for many years. He was the third generation of a family of towboaters that now spans over five generations.

In 1998 Bob passed away, but his spirit lives on through his sons and grandson who are all still active within the company.
